Popped in tonight for a meal with our daughter..first class service and first class food... Now number 1 in our top 5 local places to dine out. Thanks for an enjoyable evening.... would definitely recommend booking for a meal here. Quality food at a reasonable price.
Great food & lovely friendly staff. Parking around the back but limited parking at front. Dog friendly and the snug through the back is nice & quiet. Booking necessary at busy times. Outdoor seating as well. The beef stroganoff was DELICIOUS as was the Banoffee pie.
I attend weekly business visits and the occasional Rugby match viewing at The Kings Arms and the food & service has always been great. Not ever had a bad meal there - always great tasting food and good portion size. Majority of pubs have that wet musty smell, but never had that the Kings Arms. Decor is typical pub, rich warm colours, ok chairs and tables and enough space for bigger events. The Kings Arms forms a centre piece in this charming little town of Dalbeattie and has established itself as an integral part of its community.

This is the second time that I've stayed here with my husband. The room that we had was spacious with everything you need. As always the tea, coffee, milk and biscuits were replaced every day and the breakfast was very good. We ate in the restaurant every night and if you have a good appetite get the gammon steak, you will not be disappointed. I had to help my husband eat some of it as there was so much on his plate. The staff can't do enough for you and we'll be back soon.
Probably the best little secret in Dalbeattie, their table service in the main bar is always friendly and efficient, the menu is varied and interesting, and they have a good selection of beers, wines and whiskies. We've eaten at the Kings Arms on at least 3 very different occasions and always come away happy with quality and price. Do yourself a favour and try them out, then don't tell everyone else!
